Disneyland weddings are back and better than ever!

After skipping 2021 for obvious reasons, the Disneyland Weddings Showcase returned to the Disneyland Hotel in late February 2022. The weddings showcase is a great way to learn about weddings and events at The Disneyland Resort, as well as experience a bit of the Disney magic wedding guests receive!

This year’s showcase took place primarily on the Adventure Lawn, which can be utilized as a ceremony space or reception space. In fact, the showcase had both options on display!

The ceremony space featured a beautiful gold Mickey-shaped arch as a backdrop for the happy couple as they say their vows. Ghost chairs and gorgeous florals completed the look.

On the other end of the Adventure Lawn, guests were treated to a mock reception space, complete with gorgeously decorated round tables, a sweetheart table, a cake table, and a round white dance floor.

Also nearby was a wall that not only served as a fun photo backdrop but doubled as the seating chart!

Let’s not forget about one of the most important aspects of any wedding – the food!

The showcase had two food stations. The first featured two kinds of flatbreads, including a vegetarian option. They had a pizza oven right there on the lawn!

The second food station featured carved-on-site beef tacos.

There were also passed appetizers. I spotted some kind of slider, and a poke dish.

Of course you can’t have a wedding without cake! Guests were served a slice of churro cake, and pineapple “Dole Whip” cake, two of the most popular flavors!

Adjacent to the Adventure Lawn, you’ll find the Rose Court Garden, the most popular ceremony venue at the Resort.

This space was designed with weddings in mind, and it really is the most romantic spot on property! For the showcase, the garden was decorated with lush florals in shades of pink and toffee which gave the area a rustic, romantic vibe. Speciality wooden chairs were showcased along with a chandelier in the middle of the gazebo.

On one side of the lawn there was a beautiful lounge area on display. On the other side of the lawn was a bar set-up.

One of the benefits of having your ceremony at the Rose Court Garden is you can opt in for the beautiful Crystal Coach!

Tucked away at the far end of the Aventure Lawn, you’ll find the Adventure Lawn Gazebo, the perfect spot for a small wedding ceremony.

New this year, the showcase featured two smaller ballrooms at the Disneyland Hotel – Safari Room and Adventure Room.

Safari Room can be made into a beautiful reception spot. It’s also commonly used as the “getting ready room” for couples who have a ceremony at the Rose Court Garden.

The Adventure Room is a nearly identical space to Safari Room. The Adventure Room featured the incredible projection mapping cake! Pictures don’t really do it justice, so here’s the link to a video:

Both of these ballrooms are located in the Adventure Tower of the Disneyland Hotel.

Finally, guests at the showcase were able to tour the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion, one of the most popular reception spaces at the Resort.

With its octagon shape and ornate chandelier, it’s one of the most romantic options for your event. For the showcase it featured a round dance floor, lighted draping, and pink florals.

The floral display on this cake! Disney Floral really knocked it out of the park with this event!

Also on display was this fun escort card wall, where your guests can look for their name to identify their reception table.

Guests at the Showcase had the option to go tour some of the outside venues across the street at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. Both the Wedding Garden and Brisa Courtyard were set up for wedding ceremonies, however they were not ornately decorated.

We also had the opportunity to say hi to two famous Disney couples – Mickey & Minnie, and Donald & Daisy. Look at these adorable outfits! Yes, you can have Disney characters at your wedding reception!

All in all, it was an incredible day! I got to meet so many couples who are planning their weddings right now, some of them who have been waiting 2 long years and now it’s finally all coming together!

The Disneyland Resort really knows how to make an event special, and weddings & vow renewals are no different! I’m so glad I was able to attend the Showcase and share with you what’s new with Disneyland weddings!
