Disney Bride Alexis had a Disneyland wedding at the Rose Court Garden and Sleeping Beauty Pavilion in October 2017.
I never thought I would get post wedding depression, but here we are a few months later still looking at the photos with a glass of wine and a box of tissues. October 14, 2017 was truly one of my “best days ever”, and even though there were some struggles and a little drama during the planning process, the day of the wedding went with absolutely no hiccups…except for the fact that I forgot to eat!
The ceremony was simple and beautiful. We were a little nervous because we did not do a lot of floral add-ons (we opted to do the carriage and bubbles over a lot of flowers), but looking back the Rose Court Garden is beautiful as-is and what we added was just enough to make it special.
It was amazing seeing everything we planned finally come to life, from the food (MICKEY WAFFLES!), the centerpieces I made mixed in with the beautiful floral arrangements Disney made, to our surprise Star Wars cake that blew everyone away, everything was perfectly in place. Everyone was impressed with how we incorporated our love for Star Wars into our decor without making it feel overwhelming or like a child’s birthday party.
Though we did go over our budget by a few thousand dollars, our wedding was exactly what we had hoped for and more. The Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings team proved to us they really love what they do and they know how to bring your visions – both big and small – to life.
