May 21, 2012 – After our Farewell Brunch, we said “farewell” to a few people and whoever was left headed over to Disney’s California Adventure. This was pretty much our immediate families only, plus Mr. BFT’s aunt. The first stop was Soarin’ where we had issues with the baby swap thing so I volunteered to skip the ride (that I’ve been on dozens of times) and sit with my napping niece.
Then a few of us rode California Screamin’. Can you point out the participants who ride this rollercoaster often?
Then we watched the Muppet 3D show. I was a little worried about Sevi and the loud sound effects but she LOVED it.
Next we headed over to Bugs Land and got our Heimlich on. Aww yeah!
And then people braver than me rode the Ladybug Boogie (spinning rides make me pukey).
We headed out of DCA a little early because we had dinner reservations at Napa Rose. Mr. BFT and I wanted to take our parents out to dinner to thank them for all their amazing contributions to our wedding. The six of us had a lovely, delicious meal, and the waiter noticed that Mr. BFT “forgot” to put on his Just Married button so he brought him a new one!
We had Fast Passes for World of Color after dinner, but we were all very exhausted so we invited everyone to just hang out in our suite for the evening. Then Mr. BFT went to Trader Sam’s for a late night Ka-blue-ey, which I dropped, spilled, AND broke the glass. And I wasn’t even that drunk. So after that we called it a night. Poor Mr. BFT had to wake up early to drive back to Hollywood for a job interview.
Next Up: My husband abandons me on our mini-moon and I spend the day at Disneyland with my brother.
