Trip Report – Day Five, Part One – Farewell Brunch

The Monday after our wedding we held our Farewell Brunch.  It was a risky move to have our Farewell Brunch two days after our wedding, but we thought it made more sense to have our Disneyland Day on Sunday when more people were off work and could go, than have the brunch on Sunday and then the Disneyland Day on Monday.  Our brunch ended up being a small group but it worked out well.  We had our brunch at the PCH Grill inside the Paradise Pier Hotel.  We originally booked our brunch with Disney Events at the Wisteria Room at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, but our guest count wasn’t high enough to meet the minimum, and we ended up cutting the cost by around 60% by having it at PCH Grill!  So although I never got to have an event in my beloved Wisteria Room, I have no regrets.  (Holding out for a Vow Renewal with that room, though.)

For a Monday, the PCH Grill was fairly busy and we weren’t seated until about 30 minutes past our reservation time.  But once we were seated the service was great.  Pretty much everyone got the buffet, and some of our younger guests really enjoyed the character interactions.

And some of the older ones, too.

As for me, all I really wanted was Mickey waffles, and I got some.

After our brunch, some of us headed over to Disney’s California Adventure – which I will cover in a separate post!  Stay tuned!
