Disneyland is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year on July 17, and with that comes a huge celebration. This includes a special “Diamond Celebration” overlay for Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. The transformation has been in process since early this year when the castle received a fresh coat of paint. Over the last few weeks, overnight while guests aren’t watching, the Disney magic makers have been adding small pieces of the overlay to the Castle. First the shimmering blue roof, then some royal blue draping, and now some diamond swagging. I’m hearing a lot of rumblings about how people do NOT like the way the Castle looks right now … but it’s not finished yet! Have faith, everyone. I believe the castle is going to look stunning when it is finished. Even miracles take a little time.
