Back in May I had the honor of being a guest at Ashley and Eric’s beautiful Cinderella themed Disneyland wedding! I met Ashley through my Weddings at Disneyland Facebook group and it was a pleasure to watch their plans come together. When Ashley had a last minute seat open up, I was happy to fill that spot! In fact, I was already at The Disneyland Resort because their wedding was the day before Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened!
Ashley and Eric traveled from Canada to The Disneyland Resort for their magical wedding, and the majority of their guests traveled from Canada and Denmark! Everyone I chatted with was absolutely lovely, and you could tell there was lots of love in the room for Ashley and Eric. It was a pleasure to witness their big day!
Ashley and Eric’s Cinderella Themed Disneyland Wedding
All photos are my own unless otherwise noted.
The event started with an afternoon ceremony at the Rose Court Garden at The Disneyland Hotel. The gazebo was decorated with a beautiful blue and pink and white floral cluster, and small floral arrangements in vases on the steps. Bridesmaids were dressed in “Cinderella” blue gowns while the guys wore light gray suits with blue accents. Ashley’s beautiful ball gown was accented with a blue sash.
Ashley arrived in the Crystal Coach, the rings were delivered by the Royal Footman, they did a unity candle ceremony, and the kids used Cinderella bubble wands to see them off! The ceremony was officiated by Rev Carolyn, one of the DFTW preferred vendors. It was lovely and romantic and sweet!
After the ceremony, I made a new friend!
Once the ceremony was over and the couple was whisked away for photos, guests were escorted over to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The pre-reception hour took place in Brisa 2 courtyard. A few tables were set up around the bar, and passed hor d’oeuvres were presented to guests.
I love the Brisa Courtyard because it’s so naturally beautiful; it doesn’t need a lot of decoration! Plus the monorail runs overhead!
I loved that Ashley and Eric arranged the reception tables in a U-shape so all guests felt connected to each other. It’s a great set up for 30-40 guests. The upgraded Chiavari chairs are nice touch!
As favors, the couple got all guests a pair of classic Mickey ears with our name on them! This is my favorite wedding favor!
For dinner we were treated to an abundant buffet!
After dinner and cake, we were treated to a special surprise: a Mickey and Minnie meet and greet! Guests were brought into the Trillium Room for photos with the duo.
We spent the rest of the night dancing under the monorail!
But the couple had one last surprise for us! After the reception, guests were led into Disneyland for a special showing of Fantasmic! We had reserved seating near River Belle Terrace, which offered a great view of the show! So cool!
Thank you so much to Ashley and Eric for inviting me to celebrate your wedding with you! Best wishes for your happily ever after!
