This post was created in partnership with Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™. I received complimentary products and compensation to facilitate my review, but all opinions within are my own.
I know it’s allegedly fall but we are still having 75 degree days and my scarves are still in their storage box. So, yes, I’m still craving ice cream, like, all the time. Let’s be honest, ice cream is a 365-day Southern California food. I was super stoked when I found out my new Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™ can make ice cream. WHaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!
So Ninja sent me the Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™ to review, and I was a little overwhelmed by what it can do. It chops! It blends! It purees! It spiralizes! So I was reading through the little recipe book they included and I got to the end and I saw ice cream. I was NOT expecting a blender to be able to make ice cream.
And then I thought about my favorite Disneyland snack and I thought …. hmmmm …
What if I could combine churros AND ice cream?
With a little trial and error, I whipped this recipe together and it tastes pretty darn good.
Honestly, the toughest part was finding churros in Burbank. I went to three different stores looking for frozen churros, and nada.
Then I remembered Costco sells churros at their food court. *headsmack*
Oh, and I also used the Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™ food processor to chop up the churros into little bite-size bits. Yep, this machine really does it all, folks.
All-in-all, the Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™ has:

Churro Ice Cream
(adapted from Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System Mealtime Streamlined recipe book)
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 teaspoon cinnamon
This recipe requires some overnight prep.
First, stir together the heavy cream and evaporated milk and pour it into ice cube trays to freeze overnight (or at least 8 hours).
Prep the Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™ with the Total Crushing Pitcher. Place the whole milk, brown sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and frozen cream cubes into the Total Crushing Pitcher. Turn the machine on and press ICE CREAM.
Once the blending process is done, turn off the machine and remove the Total Crushing Pitcher from the base. Transfer the mixture into a bowl and place in the freezer for at least two hours. You can check periodically to see if it’s hardened to your liking.
While the ice cream is hardening, use the Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™ food processor function to chop up your churros for the topping. Using the chop setting, it will automatically sense how much is in the compartment and how long to chop. Cool, huh? Once the churro bits are chopped to your liking, transfer them to a tray to heat up in the oven a little bit. This will make them a little cripsy (but don’t bake them too long, they burn quickly! She says from experience).
Once the ice cream is ready, scoop into bowls and top with chocolate sauce and churro bits!
Want to see it in action? Here’s a video tutorial I put together!
Winners will be randomly selected from all program entries and Ninja will facilitate fulfillment of the 25 winning prizes.
