My stay was hosted by Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel. As always, all opinions are my own. This article contains affiliate links.
I’ve always been curious about the big castle-shaped hotel on the corner of Ball Road and Disneyland Drive, which I drive by whenever I enter or exit the Disneyland parking structure. I have heard good things about it, and I’ve also seen photos of beautiful weddings held on property.
With my birthday weekend approaching, I reached out and asked if I could experience the hotel for myself. I’m happy I finally got a chance to partner with Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel because turns out it’s simply lovely behind those tower walls! Like a little hidden oasis half a mile from Disneyland.

Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel Overview
Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel is located just northeast of The Disneyland Resort at 600 South Disneyland Drive, Anaheim, CA 92802. It’s a half mile from the main gate of Disneyland, but walking there would definitely be a challenge due to it’s location on the other side of the freeway. The hotel offers a shuttle, the Dream Machine, which runs approximately every 30 minutes (you’ll receive a shuttle schedule when you check in).
The hotel is a Disneyland Resort Good Neighbor Hotel which means you can purchase tickets directly in their hotel lobby and skip the lines at the ticket booths, which is a major bonus.
Pros and Cons
Before I get into details of the hotel and the rooms, here are my quick run down of pros and cons.
– Fun and charming castle/Renaissance theme
– Spacious, clean rooms
– Outlets by the bed
– Bar/lounge on property
– Express breakfast available
– Very nice wedding garden and ballrooms
– Friendly staff
– Bed was too firm for me
– Bathroom is small and sink area is not separate
– Walking to Disneyland is a bit challenging
– Shuttle only runs every 30 minutes (approximately)
– Pool bar is open only during the summer
Hotel Grounds and Amenities
The hotel itself provides practically everything you may need for a comfortable stay including an outdoor pool, a restaurant and bar/lounge, deli counter, gift shop, business center, and arcade.
We had an easy time checking in. The front desk employee who helped us provided us with a shuttle schedule, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure operating hours, and a hotel map.
The lobby is very spacious and there are lots of little corners where you can relax. I also loved the fish tank in the middle! Be sure to look for Nemo and Dory.
I also noticed Princess Corinne greeting guests in the lobby. Princess Corinne is the hotel’s resident princess! Her schedule of events is posted daily, or families can arrange an in-room morning or bedtime story with Princess Corinne on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays for an additional fee. Be sure to check with the hotel ahead of your check-in if this is something you want to book!
The hotel is also close enough to Disneyland to see fireworks! Ask a hotel employee for directions for the best viewing spot. You can even see the fireworks from select rooms!
We were given a Castle King Bed room which was surprisingly spacious. The Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel website boasts their standard rooms are approximately 500 square feet. They are probably the largest standard hotel rooms I’ve experienced in the Anaheim area. The interior hallways are also very wide and spacious which makes navigating with luggage easy.
You can tell the rooms have been recently renovated and are well maintained. While I prefer hardwood or laminate flooring, this carpet looked very fresh and clean.
The first thing both my husband and I noticed was how low the bed was and how firm it felt. I prefer a big fluffy bed I can sink into, so I didn’t find this bed very comfortable. If you prefer a very firm bed, you’ll love it. But perhaps this was just the room I was in; I’d love to stay again to see what the bed is like in another room.
The room had a large closet and adequate drawer storage, as well as a coffee maker and mini fridge.
For the size of the room, I found the bathroom to be really small. I also prefer the sink area to be separate from the main bathroom so two people can get ready at once. Not a huge deal, but just makes life a little easier in the morning, especially when I’m sharing a room with girlfriends. But I loved the large bathtub and the high shower head.
Pool Area and Activities
The outside, gated pool area looks comfortable and well maintained. There are two cabanas that are first come first serve, as well as several loungers, and tables and chairs. There is food and drink service but only in the summer, so even though it was over 90 degrees the weekend I stayed, drink service by the pool was not available.
For the kids and big kids, there is game room off the lobby which features arcade games and pool tables.
Restaurant and Food Options
I was very impressed with the amount of food options available at Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel! The main restaurant is the Garden Court Bistro, which is open for breakfast from 6am to 11am, lunch from 11am to 2pm (Friday-Sunday only), and dinner from 5pm to 10pm.
Right next to the Bistro is the Garden Court Lounge which is open from 11am to midnight. Food is available from 11am to 11pm, and happy hour specials are from 3pm to 6pm. We enjoyed our two visits to the Lounge during our stay; the only downside was our server (same server both days) was not very friendly and seemed like she simply didn’t want to be there. We had no issues with our drinks or food, but we were put off by her attitude.
If you want to grab some food on-the-go, stop by the California Deli which is open from 6am to midnight. You can also purchase coffee, ice cream, cupcakes, and a variety of snacks.
Finally, if you’re lazy like me, you’ll be happy to hear the hotel offers room service from 6am to 11pm. We took advantage of the Express Breakfast option, where you fill out your order on a door tag and hang it on your door before 1am. We were very satisfied with our breakfast and they even provided the extra crispy bacon I requested, and it was perfect.
Weddings and Meetings
One thing I already knew about the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel was that they offer weddings, and I was excited to see the venues for myself! They have a cute gazebo in a quiet garden. It is surrounded by hotel rooms but during my time in the garden I didn’t see a single guest or hear any outside noise. It’s a perfect spot!
Side note – adjacent to the garden is a koi pond that was also quiet and peaceful. A great spot to relax and read a book.
The ballrooms are located on the second floor. I was able to peek inside a ballroom and they look really nice. Their events area is huge, with several rooms available! Overall I was very happy with my stay at the Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. It’s away from the bustle of Harbor Blvd but close enough to Disneyland to walk if you wanted. The property feels secluded with quiet gardens and ample parking. The shuttle made getting to Disneyland’s front gate super easy, and having the bar/lounge on property was so convenient. I love the Renaissance theming and the updated, clean rooms. While the bed was not my favorite, it wouldn’t keep me from staying here again.
