If you need a place to stay near Disneyland Resort, Hotel Lulu is a great choice! As a member of the Best Western family, Hotel Lulu offers quality amenities backed by a brand name you can trust. I hope my review helps you make a decision on if Hotel Lulu would be a good option for your Disneyland travel needs.
Hotel Lulu – Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel Review
Hotel Lulu, BW Premier Collection is located at 1850 S. Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802, near the intersection with Katella Avenue, and is roughly a 15 minute walk to the entrance of Disneyland Resort.
Overall the hotel promises a “laid-back California vibe” which is evident in the small design details. The exterior features wave-like architecture beckoning guests to come inside, where pops of blue are evident all around the lobby.
Hotel Lulu was “refreshed” in 2021 (it used to be the Red Lion), making it one of the newer hotels along Harbor Blvd. I found the hotel to be modern and clean; certainly a great value for the price.

Hotel Grounds & Location
As with many of the hotels on Harbor Blvd, the hotel building takes up much of the property’s footprint. They do offer a rather sizable parking lot, which is nice. If you need to drop off luggage, there is a nice pass-through right in front of the building.
The lobby is spacious and welcoming, with a lot of cozy seating areas, a large-screen TV, and contemporary art.
Hotel Lulu is approximately 0.8 miles from the Disneyland front gate, and an easy walk. It took me about 15-20 minutes to make the walk. The hotel is directly next to the Toy Story parking lot and guests may opt to walk to their bus stop and utilize their transportation to the front gate. The walk to the buses takes approximately 10 minutes.
The hotel is also located across the street from the Anaheim Convention Center, making it a great choice for guests attending events or conferences there.
Rooms
I stayed in a double Queen bed room in the north tower. The room was laid out nicely, with a nightstand between the two beds. There was a work area with a rolling chair, and an armchair in one corner of the room.
The restroom was small but had adequate counterspace and a bathtub. The showerhead was nice and high on the wall, and the shower was easy to turn on.
The lamp on the nightstand included electrical plugs, but for a newer hotel I was disappointed at the lack of USB outlets near the beds.
The rooms include most standard hotel amenities including:
- Flatscreen TV
- Free Wi-Fi
- Mini Fridge
- Microwave
- Coffee Maker
- Iron & Ironing Board
- Hairdryer
- Toiletries
- In-room Safe
Suites
The website indicates there is a King bed suite that sleeps four people, but there are no photos or any other information (such as square footage) listed on the website.
Pool and Amenities
The heated pool is behind the main building and is a basic rectangle-shaped pool, surrounded by concrete. I counted around 20 loungers with umbrellas spaced out between them, plus a few basket chairs. There are a couple fire pits and a few tables, plus a pool bar that serves drinks and meals.
***
As far as other amenities and activities, the property also has the following available:
- Free Wi-Fi
- Meeting facilities
- Coin-operated laundry room open 24 hours
- In-room dining and drinks via CamoEats app
- Craft Time for kids
- Dive-in movies by the pool (select evenings and seasonal)
- Nightly wine reception from 4pm to 6pm
- Ping pong table by the pool
Dining
Lulu’s Kitchen
I didn’t get a chance to try any of the dining options at Hotel Lulu due to my quick stay, but the restaurant looks great.
The breakfast menu features classics such as pancake stack, french toast, and omelets. Since the theme is laid-back California, of course there’s a $14 Avocado Toast, as well as a breakfast burrito which would probably be a nice option for eating while walking the 0.8 miles to Disneyland’s front gate.
For the adults dining in, the breakfast menu also offers a bloody mary, mimosa, spiked lemonade, and spiked cold brew.
The “bar” menu includes standard bar fare such as nachos, popcorn chicken, flatbreads, and burgers.
Lulu’s Coffee
Right in the lobby guests will find Lulu Coffee, offering drip coffees and pastries.
Local Options
Right next door to Hotel Lulu is an iHop, Starbucks, Blaze Pizza, and Walgreens. Across the street is a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Morton’s The Steakhouse.
Parking
As of January 2024, the parking fee is $29 plus tax. The large parking lot is outdoor only with accessible spots available near the front of the building.
Summary
Hotel Lulu is a great option for a Good Neighbor Hotel within walking distance to Disneyland Resort and the Anaheim Convention Center. While it’s further way from Disneyland than I’d usually like to stay, the price is good for it’s location and the amenities you receive. Many hotels on Harbor Blvd feel cramped, but space is not an issue at Hotel Lulu. It’s a solid 3 star hotel, offering a comfortable place to sleep and relax when you’re not at the parks.
