This past weekend was the bi-annual D23 Expo in Anaheim, CA. This was the third D23 Expo and I’ve been to all three (see my recap of D23 Expo 2011 here), and I have to say I think this one was the best so far. There were still a lot of kinks, mostly clueless Expo workers who sent me on a wild goose chase at one point, and very long, disorganized lines to get in. I’m not sure what the problem was, but the lines to just get in the Expo were insane, and I don’t remember that issue from the past two Expos. The first panel I attended on Saturday morning was very poorly attended and I wanted to shout to the panelists “It’s not you; there are hundreds of people lined up outside wanting to come in!”
D23 Expo 2013 – Recap and Highlights
Things were a bit more organized inside. The inside queues that I experienced were well planned out and moved along rather quickly. One thing that was SORELY missing was any type of Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons representation. In my experience, a lot of Disney fans still don’t realize you can get married at Disney Resorts, so a booth about this at the Expo would be well received, in my *cough* unbiased opinion.
While it’s tough to narrow down two fun filled days into a single blog post, here are some of my personal highlights from the D23 Expo 2013, in pictures. More detailed posts to come, once I’m revived from my death bed*.
