After our photo shoot with White Rabbit Photo Boutique, we ate breakfast at River Belle Terrace and strategized how we would attack the Park. Mr. BFT and I had included information in our welcome folders about a schedule for this day. We set up various meeting points for breakfast, lunch, picture in front of the castle, and dinner. Otherwise, people could do what they wanted during the day.
Well, after breakfast, our plan to keeping on schedule went pretty much out the window and people did whatever they wanted. There were friends and family that spent the day at Disneyland that we only saw for five minutes during the castle picture!
Personally, I was torn, because my dad’s side of the family was visiting from Michigan and I really wanted to spend time with them. But this was also our niece’s first visit to Disneyland, and I wanted to go on attractions with her. And everyone didn’t want to do the same things. Right after breakfast, my dad and my uncle wanted to go rent a wheelchair for my grandma, and Mr. BFT’s family wanted to go on Pirates. So right away, everyone split up and we never really got back together. Sometimes it’s tough to be the bride and feel like you’re being pulled in a bunch of different directions and you’re always letting someone down.
So I spent most of the day with our niece Sevi and it was awesome! We took her on Pirates (I was worried we would be the family with the screaming one-year-old but she was so well behaved), Dumbo, and Casey Jr. before lunch.
Later I found out that grandma got special treatment on Jungle Cruise and enjoyed a relaxing cruise with her sons on the Mark Twain.
She also had some adventures on the Winnie the Pooh ride! Her chair wasn’t locked in properly so my dad had to hold on to make sure she didn’t roll around. D’oh!
After lunch at Village Haus we had a 1:00pm meet-up scheduled at the castle for a group picture!
Things are a little blurry after lunch, but I know we did a couple more rides and then a lot of people went back to the hotel room to rest and change into warmer clothes for the evening, us included. We came back to the Park in time for our scheduled dinner at Rancho del Zocalo.
After dinner we took Sevi on the Submarines (she seemed to love it).
Then some of us hung out with the babies while others rode Space Mountain. My “niece” Lorelei loved Sevi!
I have a million pictures of Mr. BFT on Space Mountain and he is ALWAYS making the same face. He loooooves this ride. It cracks me up!! My FIL’s expression is priceless (in the green). But my friend Tom (in the yellow) and my brother next to him look bored. Haha.
By the end of the day, those of us still standing watched the fireworks on Main Street before heading back to the hotel, where Mr. BFT and I went to our official honeymoon hangout Trader Sams for a nightcap.
That’s it for Day Four! Next up, Day Five – our Farewell Brunch and DCA day!
