My weekend actually started on Friday when I worked a half day, then packed up and headed down to Anaheim. The drive took nearly two hours! It should only take about 40 minutes, so that was frustrating. I checked in at Paradise Pier and headed to my room. I was on the third floor and I was kind of bummed because I knew that meant I wouldn’t have a very good view. When I found my room, I was surprised to see this sign:
Huh? A suite? That can’t be right ….. But my key worked so I went in, and my jaw dropped.
I immediately called the front desk to make sure there wasn’t some mistake. Nope, I was “magically upgraded.” Once the shock wore off I started taking pictures before heading out to meet up with some friends at the Expo.
Packet pick up went smoothly and I had a great time visiting with my friends at the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings booth.
We then checked out the exclusive Dooneys but they weren’t too exciting so I saved a little money there. My friends also tried on the Mickey and Minnie New Balance shoes. They were pretty slick looking!
After the expo we stopped for dinner at the Steakhouse 55 Lounge and then it was back to the room for unpacking. Then I sat out on my private patio and watched Lilo and Stitch on the big screen. I was certainly living the “Suite Life” just like Zach and Cody. The only thing missing was a glass of wine but I wanted to be good shape for the race the next day.
