Brilliant Idea: Have a Unity Paint Ceremony at Your Wedding // White Rabbit Photo Boutique

I saw this idea on the White Rabbit Photo Boutique blog and it stopped me in my tracks. Disneyland wedding couple Candace and Jesse had a unity paint ceremony during their wedding instead of the more traditional unity candle or sand art. This looks SO FUN. I love that it’s something you and your partner can create together and hang in your home.

I had never seen this before so I had to do some more research.

First, you gotta protect that gown. These Bride and Groom aprons from TheNewMrsShoppe on Etsy would do the trick.

For holding the paint, I couldn’t find glass jars that looked like the ones Candace and Jesse used but I found these little pitchers on Amazon. They would look cute with some embellishments of ribbon and rhinestones.

You will need a canvas. This 16 x 20 inch stretch canvas looks similar to the one they used. You will also need an easel and some kind of plastic, acrylic, or glass container underneath the canvas to catch any dripping paint.

As for paint, it looks like the paint they used has a pearl sheen to it. I found these Martha Stewart pearl acrylic paints on Amazon, but they only come in 2 ounce bottles. I would recommend buying at least three bottles to be safe! Or you can explore your local craft store for larger bottles.

What do you think of this cute idea? Oh, and, this couple gets bonus points for being Star Wars fans.
