I love the Disneyland Resort during the holidays and one of the newer additions to the Christmas fun is Trader Sam’s at The Disneyland Hotel. This tiki themed bar features some very unique decorations, like a Christmas tree decorated with lights and shrunken heads, tiki statues with Santa hats, and a snowfall overlay on the “windows.” A huge wreath decorates the outdoor fireplace.
Trader Sam’s also offers a few special drinks for the holidays. A couple years ago I shared the recipe for Red Nosed Zebra (and they’ve changed the recipe since then, boo). This year I’m sharing the recipe for another yummy holiday drink, the Mele Kaliki-Mocha. This is a cold weather drink and would be very delicious for sipping next to a warm fire while exchanging presents and gorging on fudge.
Mele Kaliki-Mocha
Makes 1 cocktail
Recipe from The Disney Parks Blog
2 ounces Kahlúa
1 ounce Coco Reál
1 ounce Orgeat syrup
4 ounces fresh coffee
Whipped cream, rosemary sprig, for garnish
Add all ingredients in a shaker (except garnish), fill half full with ice, and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
Strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with whipped cream and a fresh rosemary sprig.

This is my last post before Christmas, so I want to wish you a very merry day filled with joy, goodies, treats, warm mocha drinks, and lots and lots of love. I’ll be back before New Years with my 2013 review post!
