Today is our one year birthday, anniversary, blogiversary – whatever you want to call it, it’s certainly a cause for celebration! It’s hard to believe that we made our debut one year ago today. Pixie Dust Bride was an idea I had for a while, but didn’t want to start until after my own wedding was over. I wanted to create a place where all brides were celebrated, and hopefully I’ve succeeded. As with all my blogs, I wish I had more time to devote to this site, because I have so many ideas and so many things I want to “talk” about. For now I’m content knowing it’s a place with a huge future ahead!
To celebrate our amazing readers (that’s you!), I’ve partnered with some of my favorite brands and companies for a HUGE giveaway for one very lucky reader! All these items are perfect for anyone currently planning a wedding, and one lucky reader will win the whole lot!
Included in this giveaway are the following items:
- An ivory fabric flower hair clip from Fairy Tale Floral Shop (that’s my Etsy shop!)
- Two personalized hangers from Delovely Details
- A custom wedding logo from designer Gabbie A
- A copy of the new e-book DIY Your DOC and a 30 minute phone consult with e-book author and Southern California wedding planner Liz Coopersmith of Silver Charm Events
- A $100 product credit for Minted
This prize package is valued at over $200! Right off the bat, I want to make sure I say a huge THANK YOU to all these companies for helping me celebrate our one year blogiversary!
I bet you didn’t know I have an Etsy shop! I opened Fairy Tale Floral Shop about a year ago to sell all the fabric flowers I created for our wedding centerpieces. My big plan was to turn those flowers into hair clips and other accessories. I had the best of intentions, but a wedding, a honeymoon, a full time job, two part time jobs, and four blogs later, I just haven’t had the time to get it running. I used it briefly last year to raise some money for Charity Water, but that’s it. I recently made some custom fabric flower hair clips for a friend and I remembered how much I love making them …. so I decided to make a special handmade hair clip, just for this giveaway! This is a one-of-a-kind design; you won’t find another one like it in the shop (when I, you know, actually get my shop set up)! I hope the winner enjoys it! It would make a great accessory for your wedding day, bridal shower, bachelorette party, or just for every day wear!
Liz is one of the most well known event planners in Southern California, and she has generously donated TWO great prizes for our giveaway! The first is a 30 minute phone consult with Liz. You can talk about whatever wedding topic you are struggling with, and get invaluable advice from a pro wedding planner!
The second prize is a copy of her new e-book called DIY Your DOC. This e-book will help you plan your wedding day like you have a pro Day of Coordinator right there beside you, saving you a TON of money! Here’s an except from the intro to the e-book:
I’m Liz Coopersmith, the owner of Silver Charm Events, a wedding and event planning service in Los Angeles. My goal, in everything I do, is to provide the support and guidance that my couples – and all engaged couples – need to feel comfortable and confident as they plan their weddings. And, a lot of that involves educating them on how the Wedding World works in the first place, so they can figure out how to make it work for them.
So, I write a lot. The “Ask Liz” wedding planning advice column for www.TheBrokeAssBride.com since 2010, for one. I’m a contributing writer to Huffington Post Weddings, and a frequent panelist on Huffington Post Live. I’ve written for briderush.com,weddingwire.com, held workshops, and spoken at bridal shows. I’m committed to teaching you how to have the wedding you want, the best wedding you can have, no matter what your circumstances are. You just have to figure out how to do it. And that’s where I come in, wherever it is that you find me. I’m your wedding coordinator.
But, hiring a wedding coordinator can be expensive. Day-Of Coordination is a lot of work, and it’s all in the details. If you can afford it, it will transform your day. If you’re not hiring someone, you’re going to end up doing everything yourself, or giving it to someone you know. I have one of the most comprehensive Day-of Coordination programs in Los Angeles, and I’ve created a step-by-step system you can use so your wedding runs smoothly, with a minimum of surprises or problems. It’s all about preparation, and setting expectations for yourself and your DIY DOC (DDOC from here on out).
Follow my system, and you will be able to create a timeline and checklist that can be handed over to anyone to follow.
And if you are your own DDOC, this guide will help you understand and resolve any issues you might encounter both before the big day, and during it. What happens at a wedding? How does a wedding day usually “go”? What should you expect to do, if you’re in charge? What questions might – and will – come up? If you have questions, who do you ask? This is where you find out.
Sounds awesome, doesn’t it? Be one of the first people to lay eyes on this new e-book and take control of your wedding day!
Oh man, we love Minted! What’s not to love? Minted sells beautiful, unique, and totally customizable wedding stationery. And they have something for every budget, too.
