UPDATE: Yesterday (Tuesday 3/19) Carnival cancelled our cruise. I can’t even believe I am typing those words right now.
We don’t know yet what we are going to do for our honeymoon. But, I typed out this post about Naples a few days ago and it took me a while so I’m going to still post it. – Mindy
We are winding down our honeymoon pre-tour with just a few stops left! We are entering our Italy stretch of our trip – three days in three Italian cities, starting with Naples.
In Naples we are doing a tour with Rome in Limo tours, with the following description:
You will be greeted at the Port of Naples before making your way to the archaeological site of Pompeii, the ancient city whose ruins were preserved by the volcanic eruption that devastated it in 79AD. Here you will spend the duration of the morning, before continuing on to the picturesque coastal village of Sorrento for some sightseeing and lunch. The tour continues along the coast of Amalfi to the winding, narrow streets and seaside cafes of Positano. The day will conclude here, after which you will be returned to the Port of Naples.
So our tour starts in Pompeii, which I am super excited about. I don’t talk about it much here but I’m a huge geography buff, and Pompeii is one of the places that have always fascinated me.
After a short tour of Pompeii, our tour bus will take us down the Amalfi coast through Sorrento, for photo ops.
After that we will be escorted through the streets of Positano and lunch at DA Costantino, before being returned to our ship.
