I’m going to start off this post by saying I was not a huge fan of bridal garters, but I ended up wearing one on my wedding day and I loved it! I wasn’t planning on wearing one, but I was brainstorming ways to incorporate something from my parents’ wedding into our wedding day, when my mom suggested, “How about my garter?” She had kept it all this time and it was in perfect condition! It was even engraved with my parents name, which I thought was so cute. We didn’t do a garter toss at our reception but I remembered to have our photographers capture a couple photos with the garter around my leg.
If I had to do it over again (or for our future Vow Renewal *wink*), I would definitely get a cute Disney themed garter. Etsy has a bunch of cute ones, and most of them come in sets so you can keep one and toss the other. There’s a little something for everyone, from Mickey to Cinderella to Merida to Star Wars to Marvel.
