Hi, my name is Mindy and I’m a pink hoodie addict.
I probably have owned this hoodie for a decade and I wear it everywhere. I love my pink hoodie. It’s soft and warm, and it has pockets for my keys and phone, and a hood in case it starts freak raining. My hoodie was like my husband before I had a real husband. I can’t imagine life without my pink hoodie. BUT, I also kind of hate how it looks in pictures. I wear it so often, I feel like it’s boring and predictable.
One of the items on my Life List is to “find my style.” I’m a total jeans and t-shirts girl, and that will probably never change. But, when I went to Alt Summit, I purposefully did not bring my pink hoodie because I wanted to break out of my comfort zone. And when I look back on the pictures, I like that I’m trying new things and new looks.
So I decided for February I’m going to start the No Pink Hoodie Project. No pink hoodie for 28 days! Will I survive the month without a mental breakdown? Tough to say. When I headed out for Disneyland yesterday, I automatically reached for my pink hoodie hanging by the door. So I had Mr. BFT throw it up in the closet on the highest shelf, where I can’t reach it without a step stool.
I figure February is a good month to try something new since it’s a short month. I’m three days in and I’m feeling pretty good about it so far! I’ll keep you updated on my progress. Wish me luck!
