When I first saw the new fairytale collection from Pinup Girl Clothing, it was love at first sight. Pinup Girl Clothing has long been a favorite of mine, and I often see their fashion worn at events like Dapper Day at Disneyland. It was only a matter of time before they released a (loosely) Disney-themed line of dresses and skirts, and it certainly does not disappoint! I recently had the opportunity to visit their boutique in Burbank with my fellow blogger friend Lisa of the Babes in Disneyland blog and try on the new line! I can tell you these pieces fit like a dream! And with sizes ranging from X-Small (like my dear friend Lisa here!) to 4X, there is something for everyone.
Lisa and I in the Aurora Dress in Dancing Horses Print. Also available in a Jenny Skirt!
I think ALL of these dresses would make GORGEOUS bridesmaid gowns for a Disneyland wedding, or the perfect Bridal Shower gown for a bride-to-be. Or how about even a BRIDAL GOWN for a small wedding or elopement. Somebody, please make this happen for me!!
Here are a few of my favorites. I tried on some dresses and some skirts, but all prints are available in both!
Jenny Skirt in Neverland Print and Jenny Dress in Neverland Sateen.
Another great example of how Pinup Girl Clothing looks great on all body types. Lisa is wearing the Neverland dress in a XS and I’m in a Large. I don’t say this about myself too often, but I think we both look hot!
Mermaid Mexican Circle Skirt. Also available in
Lydia Dress in Mermaid Border Print. I loved this skirt so much because it closes with buttons which are adjustable! Then you wrap the straps around and tie a bow in the back. Always a perfect fit! Pinup Girl Clothing, please make more skirts like this!
Aurora Dress in Blue Castle Print. Also available in a Jenny Skirt!
Aurora Dress in Pink Castle Print. Also available in a Jenny Skirt!
Jenny Skirt in Snow White Print. Also available in a Jenny Dress! (Red belt sold separately.)
When I went to try on the clothing, we were assisted by the beautiful Doris Mayday, pinup model and store manager of the Burbank boutique. She was kind enough to grant me a short interview about what inspired them to create the fairytale fashion line. This was my first on-camera interview, and of course it happens to be with someone as poised and professional as Doris! I feel like I’m 100 million times more awkward than I normally am when I’m standing next to her! Haha! Of course she’s as nice and friendly as she is beautiful. If you’re ever in Burbank, be sure to stop by the Pinup Girl Clothing Boutique and tell her “hello!”
And now for the part of this post I’m sure you have all been waiting for … what Fairytale Fantasy clothing item do I now call my own? Happy to say I choose the Jenny skirt with the castle print in BLUE! Can you believe it??? I thought for sure I would go for pink but when I put the blue one on I just fell in love with it.
I paired it with a light pink top found at Marshall’s, a belt from Target, and the necklace is from Cookie Lee. The shoes were a score from a Pinup Girl Clothing yard sale! You’re also seeing the debut of my blue dip-dyed hair I did for our vacation in Alaska. I guess I’ve just been inspired by blue lately!
Thanks again to Doris and the team at Pinup Girl Clothing for inviting us into their boutique for a day of playing dress up!
