Hello! Welcome to my Blogging and Income Report for September 2018! October is proving to be super busy (as usual) so my report is a little later than usual. Also, September was kind of terrible for the blog so I haven’t been looking forward to writing this, haha. It’s almost like a bad medicine I have to force down … I know keeping track of my stats is good for me in the long run but I’m gonna make a face the whole time. Anyway, let’s get it over with!
Blogging and Income Report – September 2018
September was a weird month. I went to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland to celebrate my birthday. I also trained my first Virtual Assistant, who quit after two weeks (!!!). But I managed to keep up with MOST of my work, even with all the chaos.
However, I came away from the month feeling incredibly burnt out. To be honest, blogging hasn’t been much fun lately. I feel like I’m spinning my wheels and going nowhere (or, going down).
Which is why I decided to take a bit of a blogging break and work on some other aspects of my businesses. I’ll write new posts occasionally, and keep sharing my wonderful contributors’ posts, but gone are the days of publishing an article Monday through Friday because I feel like I have to. Taking this pressure off myself has helped immensely.
Ironically, I’m thinking about writing an article about blogger burnout. If this is something you would want to read, let me know!
My numbers for September fell a small amount, which is okay. I was essentially away from my blog for one quarter of the month. Here’s hoping October will be stronger (it should be, even with my mini hiatus).
My top referral sources for September didn’t change – Google, Pinterest, Direct traffic, Facebook, and Bing.
Other September Happenings
Like I said, September was crazy! Traveling to Walt Disney World at the last minute was a bit stressful but ultimately so fun and worth it. And then spending the weekend at Disneyland with Tim was so wonderful. Lots of adventure and I’m happy to be home and settled for a bit.
Here’s what I earned in September 2018. I list the earnings by network, and then state the specific brands/shops in parenthesis. If I didn’t make any money through a specific affiliate channel, I will leave it off the list (all those zeros could get depressing)!
(Keep in mind I’m only sharing the revenue I generate through my websites and social media accounts.)
Affiliates (some of the links below contain my affiliate code)
Total revenue for September 2018 = $891.43
– Total revenue the previous month = $1793.59
– Difference: -$902.16
A big drop. This was a dry month for sponsored content and even my affiliate revenue was down across the board, for the most part. Not fun, but hopefully moving into the holiday shopping months I won’t see low months like this anymore.
Things I need to work on:
Rebounding. Recharging. Making October the best it can be. Trying to get back into a good place with blogging. Bear with me, friends!
That’s it for now! Thank you for reading. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try my best to answer! I also would like to know if the information I’m providing is helpful or what else you would want to see/learn from an income report. Let me know how I can help you! Have a great month, everyone!
