Hello! Welcome to my Blogging and Income Report for June 2017! We have reached July which means the year is half over and I’m in denial about that, a little bit. I have a lot of big goals for 2017 and while I’ve crossed a lot off the list, I still have so much to get done. I need to time to slow down a little bit!
Blogging and Income Report – June 2017
June was my “get back on track” month after my crazy April/May and before my crazy July (PS – if you’ll be at D23 Expo this month, let me know so we can try to meet up!). I published 23 articles in June – not bad. It’s especially good considering all the site problems I had in June. I was constantly going over my hosting storage space and having my site go offline periodically because of it. It was a daily battle of going over, contacting my host, having them find something to delete, restoring the site, rinse and repeat. I had to finally bite the financial bullet and increase my storage space and now things are much better. It’s never easy to spend more money but it’s worth it to not have to check to see if my site is up and running every five minutes.
I wish I could go back to last month when I thought I had a “cruddy” May. My May numbers blew my June numbers away. The only thing keeping me from panicking is that my blogger friends are reporting similar trends for the early summer months. Last year I also had a dreadful June before my stats bounced back in July and August sooooo … *fingers crossed*
My top referral sources for June – Google, Pinterest, Direct traffic, Facebook, and Bing.
After a big drop in May, my Pinterest stats rebounded a bit. I’m continuing to give my Pinterest account more attention after neglecting it for a while.
Other June Happenings
We started off June with a trip to Las Vegas but other than that June was pretty uneventful, thank goodness. I also attended my high school choir reunion and saw some old friends, which was really fun.
Here’s what I earned in June 2017. I list the earnings by network, and then state the specific brands/shops in parenthesis. If I didn’t make any money through a specific affiliate channel, I will leave it off the list (all those zeros could get depressing)!
(Keep in mind I’m only sharing the revenue I generate through my websites and social media accounts.)
Sponsored Content – $265.00
Sponsored Tweets (Izea) – $13.02
Affiliates (some of the links below contain my affiliate code)
Total revenue for June 2017 = $1207.28.
– Total revenue the previous month = $1977.76.
– Difference: -$770.48
As predicted, my revenue dropped this month but it’s only because I had an out-of-the-ordinary May. All things considered I still had a strong month.
Things I need to work on:
I have a couple fun projects in the works and one of them I’m ready to announce next week! I’m so excited – I hope you love it (and I also hope it turns into a nice little passive income stream).
That’s it for now! Thank you for reading. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try my best to answer! I also would like to know if the information I’m providing is helpful or what else you would want to see/learn from an income report. Let me know how I can help you! Have a great month, everyone!
