Hello! Welcome to my Blogging and Income Report for August 2018! At this point we are deep into the back half of the year and things are starting to pick up. My traffic wasn’t the best last month but my revenue bounced back, and that’s the number I really care about! So without further ado let’s take a look at everything that went down in August.
Blogging and Income Report – August 2018
Last month I really wanted to focus a lot of attention to my new podcast, Rock Your Wedding Biz, and I did, and it is paying off! Our stats are growing and I think we are starting to find our stride. I also wanted to focus more attention towards Joy Social, which I did not. But that’s okay! There are so many hours in the day, right?
After a great month in July, my numbers dipped but by just a bit.
My top referral sources for August are the usuals – Google, Pinterest, Direct traffic, Facebook, and Bing.
Other August Happenings
August was actually pretty chill (despite the awful summer heat)! I celebrated a couple birthdays, went to a conference and caught up with old pals, and walked with CHOC Walk towards the end of the month.
Here’s what I earned in August 2018. I list the earnings by network, and then state the specific brands/shops in parenthesis. If I didn’t make any money through a specific affiliate channel, I will leave it off the list (all those zeros could get depressing)!
(Keep in mind I’m only sharing the revenue I generate through my websites and social media accounts.)
Sponsored Content – $300
Campaign Bonuses – $90
Affiliates (some of the links below contain my affiliate code)
Total revenue for August 2018 = $1793.59
– Total revenue the previous month = $887.81
– Difference: $905.78
Woohoo, from worst to almost first! I more than doubled my revenue compared to last month, giving me my second highest revenue month of the year so far. I got lucky with a couple sponsored campaigns and a surprise launch of the Facebook Strategies course I promote. YAY AUGUST!
Things I need to work on:
I’m really looking ahead to Q4 and trying to get ready. I actually am in talks to hire my first Virtual Assistant to help me with certain tasks I need to get done but I’m just not good at doing them. I really want to make the last part of this year AMAZING!
That’s it for now! Thank you for reading. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try my best to answer! I also would like to know if the information I’m providing is helpful or what else you would want to see/learn from an income report. Let me know how I can help you! Have a great month, everyone!
