Everyone needs a little break from the everyday routine once in a while, but not everyone can afford to travel. It can be expensive! Especially all the places I want to go to, hehe. But having an itty-bitty travel budget doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself to a staycation. Staycations (stay at home vacations) became a “thing” over the last few years when the economy took a dive. It may be on a slow steady recovery now, but lots of people are still hurting. My philosophy is – make the best of what you have got! In my most recent article for Momtastic, I outline a few ideas for families who want to plan the best staycation ever. These tips can be used by anyone – families, couples or solo staycationers. I also threw in some ideas for Disney fans because … well, are you new here? *wink*
What does your ideal staycation look like? For me, I think I would like to spend a week on the sofa with my DVR and movies, leaving only to refill my wine glass and answer the door for restaurant deliveries. No internet, no phone – just TV, food, and naps.
