Anatomy of the Perfect Wedding Favor

Need a personalized, easy, and beautiful favor to hand out at your wedding? A few years ago I attended a wedding and each place setting had this cute little favor sitting there, waiting to go home with you at the end of the night. It wasn’t until I opened it that I realized how simple it would be to make these at home. These little favors would be perfect for a DIY wedding, can be personalized in so many different ways, and wouldn’t take too much time or money to create.

How to Make the Perfect Wedding Favor

Supplies:

Mini jars with lids (think baby food sized – around 4 oz)
Lace or fabric
Circle template (like the bottom of a jar or can)
Jute twine
Rubber bands
Candy!

Steps:

Step 1 – Once you have your jars and know the lid size, you’re going to want to cut out the lace or fabric circles that cover the lids. Use some kind of circle template (such as the bottom of a bottle or jar) to cut out a circle of fabric with about an inch of overhang around the jar lid.

Step 2 – Fill jars with desired candy! Place lids on jars.

Step 3 – Place the fabric circle on the top of the jar lid, centered. Use the rubber band to attach the fabric around the lid of the jar.

Step 4 – Cut about 6-8 inches of jute twine (or however much you need). Wrap the twine around the jar to hide the rubber band and tie in a knot. Trim the twine if needed.

Isn’t it so cute? And the little pink chocolate candies were yummy, too. Or wouldn’t personalized M&Ms or Ghirardelli Chocolate Covered Nuts work really well? This is one favor your guests won’t want to leave behind.
