Around this time every year, Pantone releases their Color of the Year. It usually sets the tone for future trends in fashion, design, and weddings. Last year’s color was Marsala, which I didn’t love at first but it really grew on me. For this year, for the first time, Pantone actually selected TWO colors for their 2016 Color of the Year: Rose Quartz and Serenity. After getting over the initial shock of two colors, I realized these two colors are TOTALLY PERFECT for Disney weddings.
First of all, let’s state the obvious – it’s pink and blue. Very Sleeping Beauty.
But not only that:
The two colors perfectly match Sleeping Beauty’s Castle at Disneyland. Awww … is there any color combo more perfect for a Disney wedding?
I put together this inspiration board using images from the Disney Weddings Dream Boards.
Dreamy Details:
This looks like a bouquet of just pink and white hydrangeas, and it’s so perfect.
This cake is so romantic. Fondant in Serenity blue and delicate lace detailing, with a simple Rose Quartz rose as an accent.
What do you think of the two Pantone Colors of the Year 2016?
