I’m excited to share my newest shirt and product design – the “Magical Bride Ugly Sweater!”
I’m really excited about this one. I think it looks pretty cool!
Magical Bride Ugly Sweater in white – Long Sleeve T-Shirt
Let me tell you the story of how this design came to be …
I really wanted to create some sort of holiday designs using the “Magical Bride” icons my friend Anita created for me earlier this year (check this post for those products!) and when I saw the Ugly Sweater designs at Disneyland this year, I knew that would be perfect!
But, with my lack of design skills … how would I do it?
After a bit of internet research I discovered I could purchase a Photoshop Action package that would turn any kind of image into a “stitched” design. So I bought that, and then had to quickly learn how to use Photoshop Actions because that was new for me.
After learning the program came hours of trial and error until I got the designs looking juuuuuuust right. Oh, and then I realized I had to create all the designs so the “stitches” were the same size. *head smack moment*
Then I had to align everything, repeat some patterns, get the spacing correct, etc …
Then I went through the design and deleted wayward stitches and added in new ones, because, perfectionist.
Oh, and then I decided I wanted to make a repeating pattern for some of the RedBubble “all over” products.

And then I decided I wanted to make it in white, too, which was a challenge within itself. Notice the carriage is different. Yeah, that took a loooooong time to get just perfect.

Anyway, at the end of it, I’m so happy with how these turned out! I ordered my own products and can’t wait to get them!
Both designs are available in my RedBubble and Teepublic stores. Here’s how you can shop:
