I’ve been sitting on these photos for a while but I’m so glad to be sharing them with you today. October just seemed like the perfect month to spotlight this amazing fantasy wedding shoot! It was photographed by my friend Chelsea LaVere and was first featured on my friend Sara’s website Burnett’s Boards. Since I love sharing amazing Disney-inspired wedding ideas, they graciously let me share it here, too.
I remember the live-action origin story of Maleficent a couple years ago, and how it made Maleficent less evil and more human (which is weird, since she’s not human, but I digress). Still, I can totally see her life taking a different path and perhaps even having a beautiful wedding that looks a little something like this fantasy shoot, conceptualized and created by Mary and Shannon of Palette of Petals. Fun details include a dragon sculpted and wired out of driftwood as part of the gorgeous table decor, and an ebony Silkie chicken representing Diablo, Maleficent’s pet raven. The creative team said they were inspired by the Sleeping Beauty line “visions are seldom all they seem …” which I think is very fitting for this hauntingly stunning wedding photos. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
