My final painted pumpkin tutorial for the season is this super easy ombre pumpkin design! After yesterday’s complicated project, I was so happy to discover that my idea for this one was spot-on and took about five minutes to complete!
SUPPLIES:
- White spray paint or primer
- Two shades of spray paint in the same color family
- One pumpkin
Step One: Paint the entire pumpkin with the white paint or primer. Primer will help create the white top for your ombre pattern, and also create a smooth finish for your other paint colors.
Step Two: Take the lighter of your two paint colors and spray an even line around the middle of the pumpkin. You’ll see in my picture the paint isn’t perfectly even and that’s okay! The beauty of ombre is that it doesn’t have to be totally even.
Step Three: Using the darker paint, spray a line around the bottom of the pumpkin, below the lighter color, so that there’s no white between the two. Again, it doesn’t have to be perfectly even.
Let dry for at least an hour, and you’re done! Enjoy your ombre pumpkin!
