For those of you planning a Disneyland wedding and have not yet signed a contract, I have some difficult news to share with you. According to the DisneyWeddings.com website, the overall price minimums for Disneyland weddings have increased. I do not have specific details for the new pricing or even when the new pricing went into effect (although I’m guessing it has something to do with the Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding TV special that aired last week). All I can share, for now, is what’s listed on the official Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings website.
The changes are as follows:
Escape weddings –
$6500 all inclusive with a 5 night room block
$8000 without the room block.
This is for 20 people (18 guests + the couple), offered Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays. However, the website indicates Escape Weddings are also offered on Friday and Sunday at 10am, 11am, or 12pm and does not indicate any pricing difference. It also says Friday and Sunday Escape weddings can be booked up to 1 year in advance, instead of the standard 6 months.
Wishes weddings –
Overall Wishes Minimum with Contracted Room Nights
Monday-Thursday: $15,000.00 w/ 10 Room Nights Contracted
Friday & Sunday: $18,000.00 w/ 12 Room Nights Contracted
Saturday: $21,000.00 w/ 14 Room Nights Contracted
Overall Wishes Minimum with No Contracted Room Nights
Friday & Sunday: $21,000.00
Morning Sleeping Beauty Castle Wedding Ceremony in Disneyland Park – $62,200
Evening Sleeping Beauty Castle Wedding Ceremony & Small World Mall Reception in Disneyland Park – $180,000
Morning Theme Park Ceremony (at location other than Sleeping Beauty Castle) – $45,145
Receptions at Disney Animation Room in Disney California Adventure Park – $82,485
Receptions at Stage 17 in Disney California Adventure Park – $72,100
Please note prices listed for Wishes weddings and in-park weddings are the minimums and do not include tax and gratuity.
Some other updated information I noted on the website:
- Ceremony venue fees have increased to $3200, up from $2200
- Lunch and dinner prices have not changed, but I noticed higher minimums for in-park meals.
Hotel Lunch Receptions – $150++ per person*
Hotel Dinner Receptions – $175++ per person*
Theme Park Brunch / Lunch Receptions – $200++ per person*
Theme Park Dinner – $300++ per person*
- Cinderella’s Crystal Coach is $3500.
- Appearances by Mickey and Minnie are now $1700.
Those are all the changes I can find. One other item of note – the website does not list any information about the early morning castle shoot for Disneyland but has an entire page dedicated to them for Walt Disney World. And as far as I know, they never have advertised this option for Disneyland and it’s as if they are trying really hard to do away with it. I just find it really interesting.
