On Saturday, March 17, 2012, I was surprised by some of my Disneyland Bride friends with a Bachelorette party at the Disneyland Hotel!

You can read about the moments leading up to the surprise here, but the short story is that my friends (and wedding planner and Mr. BFT) all conspired to get me to the hotel without me ever suspecting what was in store!

When I left off on my preview post, my friends had just surprised me by showing up at Trader Sams bearing gifts and donning Hello Kitty ears.

Here’s me as I slowly realize there’s no “event” I was invited to attend; it was all a ploy to get me to the hotel.  I couldn’t stop laughing.

We ordered some drinks and I opened gifts – 99% Hello Kitty related!

St. Patrick’s Day Green Drinks

Opening gifts from Jenn, who used orange and pink wrapping paper (our wedding colors)! So amazingly thoughtful!

Jenn’s gift – rhinestone Hello Kitty compact

Hello Kitty (hangover) Rescue Kit from Hope

Hello Kitty camera from Nerissa!

Other goodies from Neri – thanks!

HK lip gloss rings from Jenn – Hello Kitty Powers Activate!!

At around 6pm I was told it was time to leave Trader Sam’s for our next surprise destination.  After a short walk we arrived at …. Goofy’s Kitchen!

I was very excited because, somehow, I have never eaten here!  After a short wait we were led to our table, and after placing our drink orders we got up to get some grub!

Serious business

My favorite – Macaroni and Cheese Pizza and Peanut Butter and Jelly Pizza!

No, the plate with the broccoli is not mine.  That’s my plate on the left, with the pizza and the pasta.

3 out of 4 Disneyland Brides have mouths full of food here.

It didn’t take long for the characters to start coming around.  Our first visitor was Dale.

He asked to see my ring, and then pointed at himself as if to say, “To me???”  I told him that there was still time.

Right behind Dale was Chip.  This prompted someone to ask if they were the Chip and Dale dancers we requested for the bachelorette party.

I love this picture

Next Chef Pluto stopped by …

Next Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) paid us a visit.

Despite my best efforts to angle my body properly, my hoodie makes me look pregs, especially next to these skinny princesses.

After we digested our meals, it was time to get some dessert!  I went a bit overboard.

It was all amazing.

Little did I know the girls had ordered me a special princess cake, that arrived AFTER I devoured my dessert plate.  I was so disgustingly full, I couldn’t fathom taking a bite of the cake.  I felt so bad … but luckily  one of the girls said she would take the cake home to her fiance so it didn’t go to waste.  And I took home the pink princess treasure chest and it is now holding some odds and ends on my desk.

I also was serenaded with a verse of “Happy Birthday” – I’ll take what I can get.  I’m sure Goofy’s Kitchen don’t see a lot of Bachelorette parties.

This is my “Oh god, I’m so full and now this giant cake” face.

Our final visitor of the night was Minnie!

We ended the night on the red carpet … this was set up for some other event but the girls were joking they had it set up especially for me so I better take a picture!

I had an amazing night, and still can’t believe the girls managed to surprise me!  Thanks to Hope, Nerissa, Wendy, Becca, Jennifer, Courtney, and honorable mentions to Traci and Mr. BFT, for an evening I will never forget.
My loot!
When we set out to have a wedding at Disneyland, I never would have imagined in a million years it would lead to so many amazing new friendships.  On this St. Patrick’s Day, there was no one in the world who felt luckier than I did.
