Hello! Welcome to my Blogging and Income Report for July 2016! I’m so excited to share this month’s report because I just had my Best Month Ever with both traffic AND income. I feel like I’ve reached a point where my rebranding and efforts are really starting to pay off and it’s so exciting to watch it all happen. Part of my success in July was because I jumped on a couple hot trends right away – I wrote a couple posts about Pokemon Go, and a tutorial about Disney Emoji Blitz. All three of those posts did well right away and continue to do well. Not viral per se but bringing in steady traffic. So let’s dive right into the numbers.
Blogging and Income Report – July 2016
But first going over my goals from last month. I’m continuing to assess my goals I set at the top of 2016 and I’m happy to say I got a big one crossed off, but more about that in the August report.
So, yeah … HUUUUGE numbers in July. A 40% increase is the stuff dreams are made of. Thank you, Pokemon Go! AND I came sooooo cloooose to breaking 100,000 page views, a long standing goal of mine. SO CLOSE, SO EXCITING!
My top referral sources for July are the usual suspects – Google, Pinterest, Direct traffic, Facebook, and old URL traffic.
Other July Happenings
My July started out rough with my grandmother passing away unexpectedly. Unfortunately I was on vacation with Tim’s family when it happened and couldn’t rearrange my plans to get to the funeral, something that will probably always stick with me. I’m happy I got to spend so much time with my grandmother last October when I went to Michigan for my cousin’s wedding. She was just a few months shy of her 100th birthday and we were all convinced she was going to make it, so it was a sad time all around. I was pretty depressed for a while but the nice thing about being self employed is being able to take time for yourself when you need it. By mid-July was able to get back into my normal routine, and spending a couple days visiting Disneyland, my happy place, certainly helped me heal. Anyway, it may seem kind of strange to dump these feelings into my monthly income report, but if you haven’t noticed already, I’m kind of a strange person.
Here’s what I earned in July 2016. I list the earnings by network, and then state the specific brands/shops in parenthesis. If I didn’t make any money through a specific affiliate channel, I will leave it off the list (all those zeros could get depressing)!
(Keep in mind this is just money I’m making through my websites. I also have a few other part time jobs which I am not including here.)

Total revenue for July 2016 = $1436.31.
– Total revenue the previous month = $1079.93.
– Difference: $356.38
This is the highest revenue month ever and it’s really exciting to have two four-digit months in a row. I’m not certain I can carry that momentum through August you can bet I’m making every effort to keep it going!
Things I need to work on:
I have a lot of stuff happening behind the scenes! I’m working on a new free Disneyland wedding related printable, and I’ve also been spending a lot of time continuing back-end clean-up while my butt is parked in front of the TV watching Olympics events. I also just switched to a new social sharing tool and I’m getting all my stuff transferred over, which is taking forrrrrreverrrrrr. But will be worth it when it’s done!
That’s it for now! Thank you for reading. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try my best to answer! I also would like to know if the information I’m providing is helpful or what else you would want to see/learn from an income report. Let me know how I can help you! Have a great month, everyone!
