Hello! Welcome to my Blogging and Income Report for April 2017! April was crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy. Between my sites being hacked, family visiting, switching web hosts, Walt Disney World vacations, and my email not working …. I’m still exhausted 10 days into May. But even with all that I had a really great month, as far as stats and revenue. It’s nice to see that even when things go south, my business is somewhat on autopilot and can still chug along.

Blogging and Income Report – April 2017

Since my April was so busy I just tried my best to post steady content. Due to my hosting switch, I wasn’t able to get many posts scheduled before I left for Walt Disney World but I still managed to publish 16 articles in April which I think was pretty good.

Numbers

My numbers were pretty much on par with March, even going up a little!

My top referral sources for April – Google, Pinterest, Direct traffic, Facebook, and Women’s Day.

Other April Happenings

I’ve covered how busy my month was … but I’ll say the highlight was going back to Walt Disney World and completing the Rebel Challenge races. My first WDW races were a success! I’m not sure if I ever need to go back and run in that humidity, though.

Monetizing

Here’s what I earned in April 2017. I list the earnings by network, and then state the specific brands/shops in parenthesis. If I didn’t make any money through a specific affiliate channel, I will leave it off the list (all those zeros could get depressing)!

(Keep in mind this is just money I’m making through my websites. I also have a few other part time jobs which I am not including here.)

Ad Networks

Mediavine – $612.01 (desktop and mobile ads)
Google Adsense – $0.33

Brand Campaigns

Sponsored Content – $65.00
Affiliate Network bonuses – $50.00

Affiliates (some of the links below contain my affiliate code)

Amazon – $66.32
ShopSense – $4.07
Share-a-Sale – $142.38 (Wayfair, TeePublic)
Awin – $170.86(Etsy)
CJ – $0.75 (Disney Store)
ParkSavers – $7.00
Moolah Courses – $197.60

Total revenue for April 2017 = $1316.32.
– Total revenue the previous month = $1213.80.
– Difference: $102.52

There are two new additions to the affiliate list! ParkSavers sells discount Disney tickets; we used them for our WDW trip and they are totally legit! Moolah Courses created the Facebook strategies course I did in March, which I HIGHLY recommend. They are opening the course back up later this month for just a few days, and you can use my affiliate link to get on the waitlist.

Things I need to work on:

I can’t believe it’s already May! I’ve got a few projects up my sleeve I want to work on, but I also just need to rebound from my busy April. Trying to get back on track with five blog posts a week, plus content for Joy Social.

That’s it for now! Thank you for reading. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll try my best to answer! I also would like to know if the information I’m providing is helpful or what else you would want to see/learn from an income report. Let me know how I can help you! Have a great month, everyone!
