One of the perks of being a Disneyland weddings blogger is that you become friends with a lot of Disneyland bride and grooms. And sometimes, if you’re really, really, lucky, they will invite you to their weddings! This happened in January with my friends Courtney and Calvin, and you can read their wedding recap here.
There she is! Beautiful! And I love the ribbons on her bouquet.
Their ceremony was lovely, but let’s just fast forward to the kiss! It’s my very favorite part of any wedding!
Their tables were named after their favorite Disneyland attractions.
Simple yet very pretty centerpieces at their cocktail hour.
Their reception at the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion featured very pretty tall centerpieces and deep purple linens at each table. What a good looking group!
We were at the Pirates of the Caribbean table, and each of our place cards had a different trivia question about the ride. We had a lot of fun passing the cards around the table!
They also had the lighted ceiling draping that Disney offers for this room. Their DJ provided the pretty purple uplighting.
Their cake was so unique! This design is called “The Bridge to Happiness” in case any of you future brides are wondering!
They also had the “… and they lived happily ever after” gobo.
Their pretty place setting featured the standard chargers and the bride, a talented baker, made these white chocolate castle favors with personalized ribbon.
Wendy and Jeff are both dancers, so of course their choreographed first dance was nothing short of spectacular.
For the record – I like the bread at the Grand Californian Hotel better than the Disneyland Hotel’s bread. But, I might be biased!
The first course was the Cesar salad with Parmesan crisp.
For the main course I had the vegetarian Ratatouille, which was delicious!
Mr. BFT had the Roasted Lemon Meyer Chicken.
For dessert – my favorite, the creme brulee.
Then some special guests arrived! It was tough to get a good picture. Here’s my best one:
And even though it’s a little blurry, I thought this picture was too cute!
After the special guests left, I enjoyed my vanilla cake with raspberry filling. Yum yum.
Then we danced the afternoon away. Someone in this picture was very excited!
